The President had returned from his scheduled travels to Guangzhou last month to familiarise himself with our upcoming worthy China tour. He mentioned that he will consult with the Four Seasons Travel and Tour Agent. George said that he will coordinate with the Deputy Consul-General to support this initiative.
Moreover, George has ideas to gather more information from our members who wanted to trace their roots during our trip to China. He aims to obtain a document from the Chinese Embassy to facilitate a tour organisation visiting China. He will work with the travel agent to develop a fixed itinerary for the China tour, possibly in September 2025.
As a reminder, the Committee has recommended that our first China tour focus primarily on Guangdong, lasting up to 10 days. Later in the year, or annually, we may plan additional trips to explore other areas of China's Hakka Ancestral Heritage, depending on our members' interest.
At the Committee meeting on 11 December 2024, the President had long discussions about his memorable visits meeting key people and prior to his departure, had provided us with outlines of his itinerary for a key visit to Guangzhou from November 11 to 21, 2024.

At the meeting, the President had also brought some of the Hakka Association of SA Inc’s new assets; the three (3) gifts received from the Friendship and Liaison Department of Guangdong, Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Minister Yang Shengqi and his associates cities or provinces.

George also said that he will after his trip; write a report and then get a new plan from the Travel agent for this China Tour with a fixed Itinerary possibly in September 2025.
