根据 1985 年社团法例,南澳客家公会于 2022 年 2 月 21 日起注册成立。它的承诺是保护客家文化和遗产。
Under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, Hakka Association of South Australia is, on and from the twenty-first of February 2022 Incorporated. Its commitment is to preserving Hakka culture and heritage.
Meet Our Committee
President
George Chin
George a retired civil engineer migrated from Malaysia to Adelaide with his family in 1992. And since then for 26 years, has been running his business in the Chinatown precinct. George has been proactively involved in the social business and community work. In 2021, George is recognised for his sustained and valuable contribution, a winner of the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award (OIAA). His instrumental leadership enabled in the rejuvenation of the Chinatown precinct, where major multicultural festivals was facilitated. George has had many other voluntary roles and advisory positions.
Vice President
Dr. Robin Chok
Dr. Robin Chok is a Surgical Fellowship of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (ACCSM). Qualifying in medicine and surgery from Flinders University in South Australia, he subsequently underwent 5 years of formal surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgery (RACS). Dr. Chok has extensive surgical experience and training in Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Vascular surgery before he settled on his passion which is Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Robin Chok has worked in the field of Aesthetic Cosmetic Medicine for over 12 years. Dr Chok is an accomplished and published photographer with his images featured in Steve Parish Books and Calendars.
Hon Secretary
Anna S Ho
Responsible for all official correspondences and records of the Hakka Association, Anna also spent her time volunteering at the local church. Anna is a self-driven person graduated in BTech (Infosys), BBus and Grad Dip (Com). Besides her involvement in aged care office administrative from July 1996 to November 2009, Anna also has had 11 years of 24/7 full supervision in disabilities care-giving. Anna had also worked as an operation officer in a financial institution for 13 years before immigrated to Adelaide from Malaysia in 1994.
Hon Treasurer
Kow Yan Lin
Currently a Senior Accountant at RJC Evans & Co since Feb 2021, Kow Yan is a qualified Chartered Account (Australia) Certified Internal Auditor (Fully qualified), Certified Fraud Examiner (Fully qualified) and Certified Management Account (Fully qualified). In April 2023, KowYan was issued the Alteryx Designer Core Certification ticked. A high achiever, KowYan delivered accurate reliable and timely financial reports through consistency and on-time lodgement of all statutory and tax reports.

Alexander Kitingan
Graduated from University of Adelaide, Mr Alex Kitingan is the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Malaysia in South Australia. Trained as a legal practitioner and been in practice since 2002 with Allion Kitingan and Partners.
Alex spent 12 years living in Adelaide from the age of 13 (High School) through to completing a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws in Adelaide University followed by the Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice (University of South Australia) and being called to the Supreme Court of South Australia as a legal practitioner in 1996.
Alex moved back to Malaysia and called to the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak at the end of 1997. Currently establishing professional connections and services in Adelaide & Australia with international Joint Ventures projects with my Joint Venture Worldwide Alliance.

Peng Choo
In 2012, Peng Choo, CEO of eLabtronics, reformed the AMTC into STEMSEL which started offering it's workshops to schools. In 2013, the STEMSEL Foundation was formed aiming to increase the number of students interested in STEM careers. In 2014, the STEMSEL Foundation started the STEMSEL Sisters initiative to combat the gender gap in engineering and STEM professions. STEMSEL continues to run and expand it's club organisation build new organisations in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. STEMSEL stands for Science Technology Engineering Maths Social Enterprise Learning.

Terry Lai
Terry Lai joined ASF Audits in 2006 as an Assistant Manager, and then worked as an Audit Manager until taking up his current role as Associate Director in 2020. An ASIC registered SMSF Auditor and Member of the CPA Australia, Terry also has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of South Australia. Currently a Vice President at Australia Malaysia Business Council SA since July 2020 and also a Director at SCT Property Group from Dec 2018 to present.
